Harry Corry optimises storage space with Aisle-Master

Established in 1968 in the market stalls of Belfast, Harry Corry Interiors are specialists in home decor, ready made curtains and bedding.  With a strong focus on customer care they have since grown to open more than 50 retails outlets and employ more than 600 people in Northern Ireland, Ireland and Scotland. The addition of an e-commerce website in 2013 fuelled further growth.

With a diverse product range to stock and further growth forecast, Harry Corry approached DAWSON to optimise the storage space of their Belfast distribution warehouse. Upon completing a detailed site survey it was evident that our Aisle-Master product would offer a significant increase in pallet spaces over their existing reach truck layout.

Thanks to it's unique articulated mast design the Aisle-Master truck operates in aisles as narrow as 1.6 metres, over a metre less than a reach truck. This space saving allows additional rows of racking to be installed resulting in increasing storage capacity without extending the footprint of the warehouse.

Harry Corry were initially interested in only replacing one of their reach trucks with an Aisle-Master but after an on-site demonstration they were so impressed with the truck and the benefits it brings that they placed an order to replace both reach trucks and convert the entire warehouse to narrow aisle.
